MULTAN: Model girl Qandeel Baloch has been murdered allegedly by her own brother in Green Town, the outskirt of Multan.

According to the media reports, Qandeel Baloch’s father informed the police that his daughter has been strangled to death by his son.

“Qandeel was killed by her brother over honour in Muzaffarabad’s Green Town area,” the area’s RPO told Geo News.

The murder took place when Qandeel was sleeping at her house in Muzaffargarh, her parents said in a statement recorded to the police.

The parents were sleeping on the rooftop.

There were no signs of bleeding and she seemed to have been strangled to death, CPO Multan said. Her body will be sent for a postmortem.

The accused identified as Waseem fled the crime scene, police said. Police has sealed the house and is gathering evidence.

The model seemed to be troubled in the last few days, Geo News Multan Bureau Chief said. “The last I called her for an interview, she was crying on the phone,” he said.

The model girl was staying in the native town since a day before Eidul Fitr.

Social media celebrity from Pakistan Qandeel Baloch or Fouzia Aneem was murdered by her brother on Saturday, reported Express Tribune.

Reportedly, Baloch was stangled to death at her house in Multan but the reason for this crime is still unknown. However, Pakistani media has termed it as an incident of ‘honor killing’.

Her brother fled the crime scene after the incident.

As per reports, the incident has happened only three days after the information about her three marriages was revealed.

Multan Police Spokesperson Nabila Ghazanfr told Samaa the model was killed by her brother. She had been visiting her family for the past week.

However, further investigation is under way.

The Regional Police Officer has stated that the social media celebrity has been killed and the reason is unknown.

Fouzia has been strangled to death by her brother in her house in Multan.

It should be mentioned here that she has been murdered three days after her three marriages which were kept under the wraps were revealed.

Dunya News had obtained her marriage certificate on Wednesday from 2008 with a local named Aashiq Hussain who hails from Kot Addu. A day after the news surfaced, another man name Shahid Iqbal from Peshawar claimed that she married him 13 years ago and was married to a man before him.

Fouzia had admitted to one marriage in a conversation with Dunya News the same day. Shahid Iqbal had claimed that Fouzia eloped with him and they got married through court.

It should be mentioned here that she is survived by a son with Aashiq Hussain from the marriage in 2008 which ended in divorce in 2010.

She never took her son in after the divorce saying that she could not keep him .
