When brothers fight, they'll get into it and get along after a little while. Unfortunately that isn't the case of Caros Fodor and Ben "Phoenix Jones" Fodor, who battle on Saturday night in a feature bout on the World Series of Fighting event which can be seen on the NBC Sports Network starting at 10:30 p.m. ET.

"Early childhood," Caros Fodor told Sporting News. "We were

"I would say we would fight," Ben told Sporting News. "We really didn’t like each other until he got back from the military. Before that, we really didn’t like each other at all. It wasn’t like we were friends at all. When you are blood-related it’s different. When you are adopted, you don’t have to like each other. There’s not a blood connection that forces you to like that person."

After Caros came back from a tour of duty in Iraq, it felt like the brothers were on the same page. Ben had respect for what Caros did for his country and then had MMA in common. Then the relationship went sour once again. Neither was willing to disclose what led to the downfall, but whatever happened led to this fight finally taking place.

"Our relationship has always been going like waves," Caros said. "I don’t want to get into specifics, just some personal family stuff. I felt he wronged me and was just dishonest with me and it pissed me off. Even though it was a small thing, it's happened so many times now, it just really pissed me off this time.

"Imagine if you were the one who has all these opinions and is successful at all these things," Ben said. "You are the one who's winning championships and this other guy, for some weird reason, thinks he’s better than you at everything with no actual proof, doesn’t say anything and just underhandidly has this snarky ... behavior. He’s just an underhanded d---."

Caros was the one who contacted WSOF president Ray Sefo and wanted this fight to take place. The Fodor family, especially their mother, didn't want this fight to happen.

Caros thinks one day he will be able to talk to his younger brother.

"Yeah, I don’t see why we couldn’t," Caros said. "He is my brother and the bottom line is, I love him. He’s my family. And if he ever needed me, I would be there for him. This isn’t personal for me at all. I’m assuming later on in life we will get over this."

For the younger Fodor, he doesn't feel the same sentiment. He feels if he wins, it's on Caros to come to him. If he loses, he will never talk to him again. If it goes to a draw, then he wants to punch his older brother in the face again. The man also known as Phoenix Jones feels the argument they had could have been resolved, and his brother is only doing this for the money.

"The next time someone offers him some money and he is in an argument with me, he’ll throw it away to fight me on television," Ben said. "He can’t be trusted."
