Lake Elsinore home : 3 found dead of 'violent crime' in Lake Elsinore home

Three people were found dead Tuesday morning inside a Lake Elsinore home, the victims of a “violent crime,” a sheriff’s official said.

Riverside County sheriff’s Sgt. Chris Durham didn’t know the victims’ names, ages or genders, or how they were killed.

No arrests were announced, and authorities released no information about the status or description of any suspects.

A call about some sort of suspicious circumstances came in about 10:30 a.m., according to Durham and Deputy Armando Muñoz. Deputies responded to a home in the 31000 block of Wisconsin Street and found the bodies, then summoned homicide investigators.

Durham encouraged anyone with information about the killings to contact the Lake Elsinore sheriff's station at 951-245-3300 or the sheriff's central homicide unit at 951-955-2777.

Wisconsin Street was blocked off between Lehr and Lakeshore drives. The street of small, close-set homes, some separated by vacant lots, most surrounded by fences, is just north of the lake.

Iinvestigators set up a pop-up tent on the street Tuesday morning. Later, a sheriff's mobile operations unit arrived in a truck the size of a bus. Investigators could be seen putting blue coverings on their shoes before entering a home in the middle of the street.

The investigation continued into the evening hours.

After deputies arrived, bystanders began to gather, including Hector Vallesquez, 47, who said he lives near the house where the bodies were found. He had been outside for an hour, kept from returning to his home because of the investigation.

Ana Angeles, 41, who also lives down the street, said when a neighbor told her three people had been found dead in a home, “I immediately thought that it was going to be in that house.”

She said people could frequently be seen coming from the home at all hours of the night.

"There were a lot of homeless there," she said. "There were always people coming in and out of that house."

Angeles said before the arrival of sheriff's deputies, she hadn't heard any noise that would indicate a crime had occurred.

"I didn't know what was going on until I heard the helicopter," she said.
