Fremantle Dockers vs West Coast Eagles AFL live scores, blog The Roar
The West Coast Eagles visit a struggling Fremantle Dockers as the former push for a top-four finish coming into September. Follow all action on The Roar from 4:40pm (AEST).
This is a story of two extremely different seasons.
Freo have had a spectacular fall from grace since winning the minor premiership last season, as flail around at the wrong end of the standings.
A 90-point drubbing at the hands of the Swans last week leaves the Dockers on a five-game losing streak and just keeping their heads above the wooden spoon.
A contrast to this time last year, when they were in hot contest with the Eagles for top spot.
West Coast have had a much nicer season, racking up 12 wins to sit just one win off second spot in an incredibly tight top-eight equation.

Despite a surprise loss to Collingwood last week, the Eagles had won their last five games in threatening fashion, putting them in good stead for September.
The Dockers have the third-worst offence in the league this year, while the Eagles hold the fourth-best defence in the comp, meaning one tough afternoon for the Freo front line.
Plenty of movement in both camps this week, with four changes each, but it’s the big returns of Aaron Sandilands and Nic Naitanui that has the west excited.
Sandilands will run onto the park for the first time since Round 3, when he suffered a brutal knock from Naitanui, leaving him with a collapsed lung and broken ribs.
Hayden Ballantyne makes his return from a fractured cheekbone and will rock the precautionary head gear. Michael Apeness and Ethan Hughes are the remaining two additions to the match-day squad.
Zac Dawson is out of action for the Dockers, after accepting a three-match ban for a nasty bump on Jake Lloyd last week against the Swans. Matt Taberner, Cam Sutcliffe and Matt de Boer are the other omissions from the side, making way for injury returns.
For the Eagles, Naitanui comes back after missing six weeks due to surgery on an Achilles injury.
Liam Duggan and Sam Butler have been ruled out, with a calf and groin injury respectively, making way for Tom Barrass and Jackson Nelson.
Elliot Yeo is the final return, back from illness in place of Eric Mackenzie and Malcolm Karpany, who have both been dropped, the latter after making his debut last week.
Prediction
The Eagles have the best accuracy in front of goal in the whole competition. Put that together with their aggressive defence and you have a very tough ask for the struggling Freo side.
